Danish government has agreed on a huge traffic plan. This means that in addition to the EUR 1.5 billion which was already agreed upon earlier additionel EUR 630 million are to be spent on improvement of the railway net

First it is the railway between Elsinore, Copenhagen and Køge - a small sea port south of Copenhagen that will be ameliorated. The work starts next year. Another more long term plan is a new signal system., which is expected to be operational in 2014.

But the money is not only to be spent on railways. The road net will receive EUR 530 billion for a number of large and small projects. Among other things the motorway south of Copenhagen is to be extended.
